Motor City Pride 2012
Last Sunday Josh and I walked down to Hart Plaza to see what was happening with Motor City Pride. Needless to say, it didn’t disappoint. There were some FAB-U-LICIOUS people to see.

I don’t know if I’ve seen such a diverse crowd since hanging out in Venice Beach last year, but it was so great to see it right in the heart of downtown.

At first I was surprised to see that there weren’t any protestors, then I realized A) people who live IN Detroit aren’t really like that, and B) anyone else is probably too scared to hold a hate sign on the streets here. Win/win? I guess sometimes stereotypes can work in our favor.

The best part was this super sassy dance-off. It was hard to weasel through all the people to get a photo of some sick moves, this is the best I could do.

I love this guy. I asked if I could take his photo and then he asked if I wanted some literature, but I thought he said “glitter chair” so I was like WHAT. YES PLEASE… then he handed me a pamphlet and I stared at it like an asshole and realized what he said. Anyway, more people should take his advice and enjoy life. Cut the fear. Stop hating. Be nice. Oh, and smile.

(This was taken in Venice Beach last year. I felt it was a good closing photo to follow the last one).

LOL GLITTER CHAIR. Yeah, I’d take him up on that too.
