Last night Sarah and I went to see The Hunger Games and I think I have a Katniss hangover. I kept dreaming about the movie all night. It was almost eerie how closely everything in the movie resembled the way I envisioned it in my head while reading the books. The casting was spot-on and I was completely blown away with how perfectly everyone held their role. And I didn’t cry once! Win for me.
Anyway, I’ve been adding some sweet vintage goodies to the shop all week, and I’m having so much fun with finding items and learning more about their history and where they came from. Pop through and take a look if you please, I’ve added blankets, throws, antique Detroit postcards, mugs, canisters, and much more.
Also, I’ve decided I want to consolidate my 2 shops over the next couple months (vintage and photography). I know they are 2 completely different types of items and there are pros and cons to having such opposite things in one shop, but I think I can make it work. Basically as photos begin to expire in my photography shop I’m going to either discontinue them or add them to The Ginger Shoppe. I’d say only about 20% of the photos in there are going to make the cut, so if there’s something you want, snag it up before it expires. You can use the code GINGER25 for 25% off your order.
Now it’s time to catch up on all the writing I have to do so I can chill and enjoy a workless weekend. It will be the first in quite some time, which may lead me to continuing this time management kick I’ve been on. But let’s not get too crazy.April 6, 2012
